Utility Timeout (utlwait)

This field specifies the timeout for a response in seconds in the case where following utilities issue a request to a daemon of HULFT:

  • utlsend

  • utlrecv

  • utlscan

  • utlschange

  • utlkillsnd

  • utlalivecheck

  • utltriggerconf

Job Timeout (jobwtimeout)

This field specifies time-out for a job termination in seconds.

The setting is valid for Pre-send Job, Successful Job on the receiving side where the Notification (JOBWAIT) is set to 'Successful Job Completion,' remote jobs, and jobs started by the File Trigger function.

For other job execution, the system waits for job termination unlimitedly.

Refer to UNIX/Linux Administration Manual for details.

Log Rotation Record Count (logdelcount)

This field specifies the deletion timing by the number of log records when the Send Log, the Receive Log, or the Observe Log is automatically deleted.

When the number of log records in each log file exceeds the specified value, the log is switched over.

When 0 is specified, switchover for the log is not carried out.

Status Display Selection (statusdisplay)

This field specifies the type of transfer status that is displayed in the Transfer Status List screen on HULFT Manager Management Console.

Display Only Send:

Display only the Send status.

Display All:

Display the Send status and the Receive status.

HULFT Identifier (hulcharacter)

This field specifies the character string to identify HULFT that outputs the Operation Log or the Trace Log, when two or more HULFT operate in the same environment.

Specifying 9 bytes or more is handled as an error, and the initial value (the string left blank) is applied.

Defaulting this field does not display anything.

HULFT Script Port No. (hsport)

This field specifies the port number to be used when HULFT Script is installed.

This field is displayed when the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher and you install HULFT Script on the destination host.

Make sure this port number does not overlap with the number reserved by your operating system or the number used by other daemons of HULFT.

For details, refer to HULFT Script Manual for the destination host.

Note

Do not specify a value in an ephemeral port range that is reserved by operating system.

Trace Output Version (tlogver)

This field specifies the version of log that outputs the Send Log, the Receive Log, or the Observe Log.

Output in V6 Mode:

Output the Trace Log (V6 header) and message log

Output in V7 Mode:

Output the Trace Log (V7 header)

Output in V8 Mode:

Output the Trace Log (V8 header)

Output in V8.4 Mode:

Output the Trace Log (V8.4 header)

This field is displayed only when the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher.

When the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher, the output content of the log records differs depending on the setting of Output to Trace Logs (tracelog) and Output to System Logs (syslog).

When the destination host is HULFT lower than Ver.8.4, the output content of the log records differs depending on the setting of Trace Output Mode (tlogmode).

Refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages for details of the log output function.

Trace Output Mode (tlogmode)

This field specifies the mode of the log which outputs the operating status of the Send, Receive, and Request Acknowledge operation.

This field is displayed when the destination host is HULFT lower than Ver.8.4.

Do Not Output

Do not output the Trace Log.

Output Only Unsuccessful Log Records

Output the Trace Logs of unsuccessful type.

Output All Log Records:

Output all the Trace Logs.

Refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages for details about the log output function.

Log Size Reduction Mode (logreduction)

This field specifies whether to output all the fields or only the fields in the common header area when messages are output to the trace log and syslog.

This field is displayed when the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher.

Output full log:

Output all the fields

Output only common headers:

Output only the common header area

For details about common header areas, refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages.

Output to Trace Logs (tracelog)

Specify whether to output log (message) records to the trace log.

This field is displayed when the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher.

This can be set for each message level.

If you select the check box, log records of the specified message level are output to the trace log, while if you clear the check box, no log records are output to the trace log.

The message levels that can be set are as follows:

  • Information

  • Warning

  • Error

For details on message level types, refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages.

Output to System Logs (syslog)

Specify whether to output log (message) records to syslog.

This field is displayed when the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher.

This can be set for each message level.

If you select the check box, log records of the specified message level are output to the syslog, while if you clear the check box, no log records are output to the syslog.

The message levels that can be set are as follows:

  • Information

  • Warning

  • Error

For details on message level types, refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages.

Trace Output File Name (tlogfile)

This field specifies the output file name when outputting the Trace Log.

Specify the name in an alphanumeric string within 256 bytes.

When the destination host is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher, if you select the check box for one of the message levels in Output to Trace Logs (tracelog), you cannot omit this field.

When the destination host is HULFT lower than Ver.8.4, if Trace Output Mode (tlogmode) is set to "Output Only Unsuccessful Log Records" or "Output All Log Records", you cannot default this field.

For details on the content of log records and the output destination, refer to UNIX/Linux Error Codes and Messages.

Trace Output File Size (tlogsize)

This field specifies the criterion for switchover of the Trace Output files in MB.

When the Trace Output file reaches the specified size, the backup is created.

The backup file is always overwritten by newly created file.

To name backup file, add extension '.bak' to the file name of the Trace Output file.
