Cause and Measures

Cannot send due to socket error

Make sure that PING command to and from the remote host works properly.

Make sure that the specification of the Host Information of HULFT is correct.

Make sure that the remote host has been started.

Make sure that the Receive Acknowledge job of the remote host has been started.

Make sure that the port numbers of the remote host are correct.

Make sure that there is no mistake in the registration of TCP/IP host table of IBM i.

Make sure that LAN (WAN) is physically connected to the remote host.

Cannot send due to file-related error

Make sure that there is no mistake in the registration of the Send Management Information.

Make sure that the file to be sent is not used by another job.

Cannot send due to operation exception signal

In the Format Transfer, make sure that the starting position that is represented in packed decimal or in zoned decimal and the byte count of the fields are correct.

Cannot send due to error occurred on receiving side

An error has occurred on a receiving host. Check the host on the receiving side.

Program ended unexpectedly

Make sure that the system value QJOBMSGQFL (Job message queue full action) of the environment in which HULFT runs is set to "*WRAP".

Make sure that the JOBMSGQFL (Job message queue full action) attribute of the job description that HULFT uses is NOT set to "*NOWRAP".
