Host Information

The Host Information stores the information about sending hosts and receiving hosts. There are two ways to register records in the information.

(1) Fields

The table below carries the values and optional statuses for the registration using the Management Console. The optional statuses for the registration using parameter file and command may differ from those for the registration using the Management Console. For the detail on optional statuses for the registration using parameter file and command, refer to Registering and updating a record in management information.

Do not modify the setting of this field on HULFT, because the value is set by HULFT-HUB or HULFT-WebConnect.

(2) Explanations of each field

This section explains the fields to be set in the Host Information. A string within brackets () is the tag of a field name to be specified when you use a parameter file to register the information.

Host Name (HOST)

Sending or receiving host name

When sending-side transferring is performed, this host name references the host name registered in the Transfer Group Information.

In receiving, the host name and a local host name on the sending side are associated with each other.

Host Type (HOSTTYPE)

Type of operating system of the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST)

H :

Mainframe

U :

UNIX/Linux/NonStop

N :

WindowsNT operating system

W :

Windows9x operating system

A :

IBM i

K :

Fujitsu K series

Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE)

Code Set of the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST)

S :

SHIFT-JIS

E :

EUC-JP

J :

JEF

I :

IBM Kanji

K :

KEIS

N :

NEC Kanji

8 :

UTF-8

G :

C :

IBM Simplified Chinese

Standard for Japanese (JISYEAR)

JIS year applied to the code set that is specified for the Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE)

78 :

JIS78

83 :

JIS83

Receive Port No. (RCVPORT)

The port number used by the Receive Acknowledge job

Observe Port No. (REQPORT)

The port number used by the Observe job

Send Process Multiplex Level by Host (HOSTSPSNUM)

Send Process Multiplex Level to above host

When you set "0" for this parameter, HULFT does not control the Send Process Multiplex Level by Host.

If omitted, "0" is set.

Make the value of the Send Process Multiplex Level by Host not greater than that of the Send Job Multiplex Level in the System Environment Settings.

Use HULFT7 Comm. Mode (HUL7MODE)

The communication method for the host that is specified for the Host Name (HOST).

Y :

HULFT uses the connection method of HULFT7 from the beginning.

N :

HULFT first uses the connection method of HULFT8 to connect to the remote host. If the remote host uses a lower version, HULFT switches to the connection method of HULFT7.

If omitted, "N" is set.

Proxy Server Name (MYPROXYNAME)
Proxy Port No. (MYPROXYPORT)

Do not modify the setting of this field on HULFT, because the value is set by HULFT-HUB or HULFT-WebConnect.

Allow Send Request/Resend Request (SENDPERMIT)

This field specifies whether to accept the services of the Send Request (SEND) and the Resend Request (RESEND).

Y :

Allow the service to be accepted

N :

Refuse the acceptance of the service

Allow to View Post-receive Job Result (HULJOBPERMIT)

This field specifies whether to accept the service of Post-receive Job Result Inquiry Request (HULJOB).

Y :

Allow the service to be accepted

N :

Refuse the acceptance of the service

Allow to View Post-receive Job Result (HULJOBPERMIT)

This field specifies whether to accept the service of Job Execution Result Notification (HULSNDRC).

Y :

Allow the service to be accepted

N :

Refuse the acceptance of the service

Allow to Execute Remote Job (HULRJOBPERMIT)

This field specifies whether to accept the service of Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB).

Y :

Allow the service to be accepted

N :

Refuse the acceptance of the service

Allow Instant Transfer (ALLOWINSTTRANS)

Whether or not to accept instant transfer requests from the host specified by Host Name (HOST)

Y :

Accepts instant transfer requests

N :

Rejects instant transfer requests

Specify whether to accept or reject requests for instant transfer on the receiving-side host.

If omitted, "N" (Deny requests for instant transfer) is set.

For details, refer to Administration Manual.

Notify User Details (USRNOTIFY)

This field specifies whether to notify the User ID (OS) and the User ID (Management Console) to the host at connection destination.

Y :

Notify

N :

Do not notify

For details on the User ID, refer to Administration Manual.
