Module installation and Product Key Update

Installation of program modules of HULFT

This type of processing uses the setup program of HULFT to install the program modules of HULFT.

Install the program module of HULFT in the following cases:

• New installation of HULFT

• Version upgrade of HULFT

• Level upgrade of HULFT

• Revision upgrade of HULFT

The New Installation refers to a new installation of complete program modules to configure new operating environment of HULFT.

In the version upgrade, the level upgrade, and the revision upgrade, the environment of existing HULFT is updated. The operational environment before the update is carried over to the updated environment.

Multiple installations of HULFT

You can set up multiple HULFT environments on one host.

When you set up multiple environments of HULFT on a host, perform the new installation for each HULFT, because you must operate each HULFT independently.

Update of product information of HULFT

This type of processing uses the setup program of HULFT to update only the Product Information of HULFT that is already installed. In this case, no program module is installed.

The update installation of the product information of HULFT is called "Product Key Update".Perform the Product Key Update in the following cases:

• Changing product information

• Changing the system name of the host on which HULFT is installed

• Migration from the trial version to the product version

• Migration from the product version (Fixed Term License) to the product version

• When you add or delete HULFT Cipher Option or change the encryption scheme

• Extension of valid term

• Extension of term for a product version (Fixed Term License)
