Automatic Optimization of Transfer Settings

Settings related to the file transfer speed can be automatically optimized. Optimizing the settings related to file transfer allows for transfers to be performed at the optimal transfer speed.

 

To automatically optimize settings related to file transfer speed, set '0 (Default value)' for the following fields:

• Transfer Block Length (BLOCKLEN) in the Send Management Information

• Transfer Block Count (BLOCKCNT) in the Send Management Information

 

If you set automatic optimization of transfer settings, when a transfer begins, the optimal transfer unit is calculated.

The optimal transfer unit is the largest value that satisfies the following conditions:

• It is a multiple of (MSS x 2)

• It is or is below the upper limit for the transfer unit

'MSS' means the maximum segment size. The value varies depending on the network used for communication. The Send system obtains the value from the operating system at the time of sending. A sending error occurs if the system fails to obtain the value.
