(1) Registration Information for Send Management

Figure 2.4 Registration Information for Send Management

1) Send Management Information

This is the core management information in sending operation. You must register the File ID that corresponds to the ID of the Receive Management Information on the receiving side. Define fields such as attributes of a Send file and transfer conditions.

2) Job Information

The Pre-send Job Information and Job Information executed upon the completion of the Send operation are registered. In the jobs that are executed when the Send operation is completed, there are jobs that are started when the Send operation is completed successfully and there are jobs that are started when the Send operation is completed unsuccessfully. If multiple jobs are registered in one Job ID, they are executed in the order of their registration. This is not necessary if no jobs are started.

3) Host Information

Information of the remote hosts that are the send destinations is registered.

4) Transfer Group Information

Remote hosts of Send destinations (hosts that are registered in the Host Information) are registered in groups. Multicasting is possible if multiple remote hosts are registered in one group.

5) Format Information

Register the Format Information of Send file. Register the information in the case of the files that require field-by-field consideration of code conversion. On the other hand, the registration is not necessary in the case of Text Transfer or Binary Transfer without code conversion. Concerning Multi Format Transfer, it is necessary to register the Format Information that corresponds to each record.

Receiving in CSV format is not available on HULFT for IBMi.

6) Multi Format Information

Register the Multi Format Information of Send file. It is registered in the case of Send files when it is necessary to take into account the code conversion of each record. This is not necessary for text files or binary files with no code conversion, and in the case of Single Format Transfer.

Receiving in CSV format is not available on HULFT for IBMi.

7) System Environment Settings

Generation library of work file, Send Job Multiplex Level, etc. are defined. Basically, it is registered only once in each system.

(2) Registration Method

Each of the above information is registered by using the Management Console program of this system from the terminal. Moreover, in the information other than the System Environment Settings, the registration information is created with SEU (Source Entry Utility) and there is also a method of registering information by the batch registration function.

By using connection function to HULFT Manager, the registration on the host that installed HULFT Manager is also available.
