Message Log Settings

Output to Message Log (MLOG)

This field specifies whether to output messages generated by instances of send processing, receive processing, observe processing, and operation log output processing. (Optional)

The specified three digits, from left to right, represent the "Information", "Warning", and "Error" message levels.

If the digit is set to "1", messages at that message level are output to the message log. If the digit is set to "0", the messages are not output to the message log.

0 :

Do not output to the message log

1 :

Output to the message log

If the field is specified as above, "Information" and "Error" messages are output to the message log, and "Warning" messages are not output to the message log.

If omitted, "001" is set.

For details about message levels, refer to Error Codes and Messages.

Note

If you specify the message output parameter (OUTPUT) for the Send Acknowledge job, Receive Acknowledge job, Observe job, or Operation Log Acknowledge job when you start the job, the setting for this field is not applied.

In that case, all messages are output.

Message Log Output Version (MLOGVER)

This field specifies the output format of the messages. (Optional)

8 :

Previous format

84 :

V8.4 format

If omitted, "84" is set.

For details on message output format, refer to Error Codes and Messages.

Note

If you specify the message output parameter (OUTPUT) for the Send Acknowledge job, Receive Acknowledge job, Observe job, or Operation Log Acknowledge job when you start the job, the setting for this field is not applied.

In that case, messages are output in the previous format.

Send Message Log Output File Name (SNDMLOGFILE)

Specify the name of the destination file to which the Send Acknowledge job and the Send job output messages (called "message log"). (Optional)

If you omit the message output parameter (OUTPUT) when you start the Send Acknowledge job, the setting for this field is applied and the messages are output to the specified file.

No message is output when both the message output parameter (OUTPUT) and this field are omitted

Receive Message Log Output File Name (RCVMLOGFILE)

Specify the name of the destination file to which the Receive Acknowledge job and the Receive job output messages (called "message log"). (Optional)

If you omit the message output parameter (OUTPUT) when you start the Receive Acknowledge job, the setting for this field is applied and the messages are output to the specified file.

No message is output when both the message output parameter (OUTPUT) and this field are omitted

Observe Message Log Output File Name (OBSMLOGFILE)

Specify the name of the destination file to which the Observe job and the Request job output messages (called "message log"). (Optional)

If you omit the message output parameter (OUTPUT) when you start the Receive Acknowledge job, the setting for this field is applied and the messages are output to the specified file.

No message is output when both the message output parameter (OUTPUT) and this field are omitted

Operation-Log Message Log Output File Name (OPLMLOGFILE)

Specify the name of the destination file to which the Operation Log Acknowledge job and the Operation Log job output messages (called "message log"). (Optional)

If you omit the message output parameter (OUTPUT) when you start the Operation Log Acknowledge job, the setting for this field is applied and the messages are output to the specified file.

No message is output when both the message output parameter (OUTPUT) and this field are omitted

Message Log Deletion Threshold (MLOGDELCOUNT)

This field specifies the limit of records that determines when HULFT automatically deletes messages generated by instances of send processing, receive processing, observe processing, and operation log output processing . (Optional)

When the number of records in each message log exceeds the threshold, old records are deleted.

If you specify "0" for this field, HULFT does not delete log records automatically.

If omitted, "0" is set.

Note

If you specify the message output parameter (OUTPUT) for the Send Acknowledge job, Receive Acknowledge job, Observe job, or Operation Log Acknowledge job when you start the job, the setting for this field is not applied.

In that case, the number of retained records is unlimited.
