Character set options for messages (CHARSETOPTMSG)
Outline of function
You can select an option for conversion methods of single-byte characters, when you use message transmission function.
Recommended operation methods in HULFT8
HULFT8 converts single-byte characters according to the value that you specified for HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET) of the System Environment Settings.
If you want to convert single-byte characters by encoding them with the code set that is suitable for your system environment, specify "H" (HULFT Character Set Mode) for the Character Set Options for Messages (CHARSETOPTMSG) of the System Environment Settings.
In such a case, note that the conversion result may be different from the result yielded by HULFT lower than Ver.8, depending on the value that you specified for HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET).
If you want to make the conversion result compatible with HULFT lower than Ver.8, specify "I" (Japan (Latin) Extended for IBM Mode) for the Character Set Options for Messages (CHARSETOPTMSG).
