Observe host check (APTHSTCHK)

Outline of function

With this function, whether or not the requesting host is registered in the Host Information can be checked when the Observe system receives a request.

The requested host can select whether to refuse the connection to the requesting host when the host is not registered in the Host Information.

Recommended operation methods in HULFT8

The features represented by Observe Host Check (APTHSTCHK) in the System Environment Settings are now moved to the following fields. We recommend not to use Observe Host Check (APTHSTCHK), but to use the following new fields:

The fields that were migrated from the Observe Host Check (APTHSTCHK) in the System Environment Settings

  • Allow Send/Resend Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWSNDREQ)

  • Allow Post-Receive Job Result Inquiry from Unregistered Host (ALLOWPOSTRJOBRSLT)

  • Allow Job Result Notification Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWJOBRSLTNTFY)

  • Allow Remote Job Execution Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWRMTJOBEXE)

By using the above fields, you can specify for each service type whether to allow acceptance of requests when the requesting host is not registered in the Host Information.

If "1" (Refuse to connect to the requesting host) is set for Observe Host Check (APTHSTCHK), the setting overrides all the settings for the above new fields and all requests of all the service types are refused.
