Limitations in sending-side transferring

(1) Transfer Block Size

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, you cannot set a transfer where the product of Transfer Block Length x Transfer Block Count exceeds the sending and receiving buffer length of NSS (NetWork Support SubSystem).

If the host on the receiving side is HULFT for K and if you set with the host on the sending side a transfer where the product of the Transfer Block Length x Transfer Block Count exceeds the sending and receiving buffer length of NSS, an error occurs and the transfer is not carried out.

(2) Multi Format Transfer

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, you cannot set "Multi Format" for the Transfer Type.

However, receiving in multi format is possible with HULFT for K Ver.2.0.0 and above. For sending from other host types, receiving in HULFT for K is possible only if you specify "Multi Format" for the Transfer Type in the Send Management Information and specify sending host conversion. (For any other settings, a version error occurs.)

(3) Binary Compression

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, binary compression cannot be set when specifying binary transfer.

If binary compression for HULFT for K is set from the host on the sending side, an error occurs.

(4) Display of compression ratio

The display function of Compression Ratio is not available in HULFT for K.

(5) Checkpoint Resend File and Checkpoint Resend Request

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, the Checkpoint Resend File or the Checkpoint Resend Request cannot be set.

If the host on the receiving side is HULFT for K, the Checkpoint Resend File or the Checkpoint Resend Request is not enabled.

(6) Pre-send Job

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, Pre-send Job cannot be set.

If the host on the sending side is HULFT Ver,5 or higher, HULFT calls the Pre-send Job. However, if the host that acknowledges a request (sending side) is HULFT Ver.5 or higher, HULFT does not call the Pre-send job.

(7) Send File Mode

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, the Send File Mode cannot be set and "Keep" is set without exception.

(8) Dynamic specification for Send File

If the host on the sending side is HULFT for K, you cannot dynamically specify the Send file, transfer group, or host name.

(9) Synchronous Transfer

You cannot specify Synchronous Transfer for Send File or Send Request from HULFT for K.

Further, Synchronous Transfer for Send Request from a remote host where sending is performed by HULFT for K is not enabled.

(10) Shiftcode Mode

If the sending host is HULFT for K, you cannot set the Shiftcode Mode.

If the host on the sending side is HULFT Ver.5 or higher and a receiving side conversion is carried out, the setting of the Shiftcode Mode is ignored.

(11) Auto resend when an error in transfer occurs

Auto resending after a transfer error cannot be carried out in HULFT for K.

(12) Retry when Receive Process Multiplex Level is exceeded

You cannot set the Receive Multiplex Level Over Retry in HULFT for K.

(13) Em-size space of Kanji Code KEIS

You cannot set the Em-size Space Mode in HULFT for K.

(14) Display of Send Acknowledge Date

The Send Acknowledge Date of records in the Send Log is not be displayed in HULFT for K.

(15) Support for Networked Files

HULFT for K does not support networked files.

(16) Remote Heartbeat Monitoring function

HULFT for K cannot remotely monitor the heartbeat of HULFT, and HULFT for K cannot be remotely monitored.

(17) Files to send

The maximum record length for files used in the Send processing is 4087 bytes, and the maximum file size is 999MB.
