Limitations common to send processing and receive processing
(1) Conversion between EBCDIC Codes
HULFT for ACOS does not support conversion between EBCDIC codes.
(2) Code conversion table for extension characters
HULFT for ACOS does not provide code conversion tables for NEC special characters other than JIS Level 1 and Level 2.
(3) Support for UTF-8
HULFT for ACOS does not support UTF-8 conversion.
(4) Support for detailed error codes in environment variables
Detailed error codes cannot be used in environment variables in HULFT for ACOS.
(5) C4S, AES, and user cipher
ACOS does not support HULFT Cipher Option (C4S) or HULFT Cipher Option (AES).
Further, you cannot create or apply user ciphers.
(6) Verification of consistency in transfer data
ACOS does not support verification of consistency in transfer data.
(7) Message Transmission
If the host on the sending side or the host that issued the Send Request (receiving) is HULFT for ACOS, you cannot specify the Message Transmission.
When the host on the sending side is HULFT Ver.6 or higher, HULFT replaces the variables with messages that are transmitted by a sending host, but the application does not transmit messages to a receiving host.
Meanwhile, when the host that issued the Send Request (receiving) is HULFT Ver.6 or higher and the host that acknowledges the request (sending) is HULFT for ACOS, HULFT replaces variables with messages upon issuing the Send Request, but the application does not transmit the messages to the host that acknowledges the request or receives a file.
(8) Conversion of Field Attributes and Signs in Format Transfer
If a remote host of transfer is HULFT Ver.6 or higher and the remote host carries out code conversion, the conversion of field attributes and sign parts is available for HULFT for ACOS.
(9) Setting of UNIT group
You cannot set a UNIT group in ACOS.
(10) Synchronization of sending and receiving errors
ACOS does not support synchronization of sending and receiving errors that occur in other host types.
(11) Addition of user messages to console messages
You cannot add user messages to console messages in ACOS.
(12) Sending and Receiving of Variable-Length File with Record Descriptor Word (RDW)
You cannot send or receive variable-length files with record descriptor words (RDW) when you carry out transfer between ACOS and HULFT8.
(13) Improvement in Transfer Speed by Selecting Data Transfer Method
The Transfer Speed Priority Mode is not supported for transfer between ACOS and HULFT8.
(14) Measures to deal with communication timeout
Measures to deal with communication timeout are not available in HULFT for ACOS.
