Limitations in features of HULFT for Windows

This section explains what limitations exist in which product versions of HULFT for Windows when connected from HULFT8 Manager.

(1) Limitations when connecting to HULFT for Windows Ver.6

Conditions on destination host

If the destination host meets all of the following conditions, the limitations are applied:

  • HULFT for Windows Ver.6 is installed

  • HULFT BB Client is also installed or HULFT BB Server Option is installed

The English versions of HULFT BB Client and HULFT BB Server Option are not provided.

Limitations in features

When connected from HULFT8 Manager, there are limitations as follows:

  • You cannot update the System Environment Settings. (You can only view the information.)

  • You cannot view or copy in the Host Information Update screen on the destination host if Connection Type on the host is set to either of the following values (while you can view and delete the same information in the Host Information List screen):

    • "BB Server (P)"

    • "BB Client (C)"

(2) Limitations on the connection from HULFT Manager lower than Ver.8.1.0 to HULFT for Windows Ver.8.1.0 or higher

When connected from HULFT Manager lower than Ver.8.1.0, there are limitations as follows:

  • Setting values different from actual values appear on the System Environment Settings screen.

  • System Environment Settings cannot be saved.

Host Information

Code Set for Transfer (*1)

In HULFT for Windows Ver.8.1.0 or higher, if GB18030 or UTF-8 is specified as the code set in a record of the Host Information, no host name is displayed for the record on the Host Information List screen.

File Trigger Information

Monitor Subdirectories

In HULFT for Windows Ver.8.1.0 or higher, if this field is set to "Y (Yes)" in the File Trigger Information, the file trigger ID is not displayed for the record in the File Trigger Information List screen.

Use Regular Expression

In HULFT for Windows Ver.8.1.0 or higher, if this field is set to "Y (Yes)" in the File Trigger Information, the file trigger ID is not displayed in the File Trigger Information List screen.

Path to Directory

In HULFT for Windows Ver.8.1.0 or higher, if the following settings are made for the two fields in the File Trigger Information, Path to Directory is not displayed for the record in the File Trigger Information Update screen:

  • Monitor Subdirectories is set to "N (No)".

  • Use Regular Expression is set to "N (No)".

In versions of HULFT Manager lower than Ver.8.1.0, this field is named Kanji Code Type. In HULFT Manager Ver.8.1.0 or higher, this field is named Code Set for Transfer.

(3) Limitations on connecting to HULFT for Windows Ver.8.4.0 or higher from HULFT Manager lower than Ver.8.4.0

Limitations when all of the following four fields are not the same setting value in HULFT for Windows Ver.8.4.0 or higher:

  1. Allow Send/Resend Request from Unregistered Host (allowsndreq)

  2. Allow Post-Receive Job Result Inquiry from Unregistered Host (allowpostrjobrslt)

  3. Allow Job Result Notification Request from Unregistered Host (allowjobrsltntfy)

  4. Allow Remote Job Execution Request from Unregistered Host (allowrmtjobexe)

 

  • The Observe Host Check in the System Environment Settings displays different value from configured value.

  • System Environment Settings cannot be saved.

Event Logs

Limitations when the values for Error (Non Critical) and Error (Critical) are set to "10" or "01" in HULFT for Windows Ver.8.4.0 or higher.

  • Setting values different from the actual values appear in "non-critical and critical error" on the System Environment Settings screen.

  • System Environment Settings cannot be saved.
