Decrease in data due to cutting of shift codes

Execution of conversion from the code sets with shift codes (Type-EBCDIC Code Set) to those without shift codes (Type-ASCII Code Set) may reduce data size, because shift codes are cut. If the data is reduced, HULFT pads the data with single-byte spaces that amount to the reduced data.

The above example shows how conversion works when you specify 'C (Cut)' for Shiftcode Mode in the Send Management Information.
