Range of supported Chinese codes

Among Chinese double-byte characters, HULFT supports Code Conversion of the following characters by default:

• IBM Simplified Chinese

  HULFT supports characters that are defined as 'Simplified Chinese DBCS-HOST(CP00837)' in 'GB18030 2000 version.'

• GB18030

  HULFT supports characters that are defined in 'GB18030 2005 version.'

• UTF-8

  HULFT supports characters that are defined in Unicode.

Among the characters described above, HULFT only converts character codes defined on both the sending-side host and receiving-side host for a file transfer by default.

HULFT handles codes other than the supported double byte codes as 'custom character codes' and converts the codes by using their corresponding custom character table.
