Points to note for transfers via HULFT-HUB Server

Points to be noted on code-conversion side

During a transfer via HULFT-HUB Server, receiving-side conversion is carried out except in the following cases:

  • When there is only one client on the receiving side and the Transfer Routing is set to 'Auto arrangement'

  • When the settings of Code Set for Transfer and of Standard for Japanese match among all the clients on the receiving side (*1)

:

The field names vary depending on the client version and the host type.

If the client runs HULFT lower than Ver.8.1, the names are Kanji Code Type and JIS Year.

For receiving-side conversion, UTF-8 codes cannot be converted if the host on the receiving side is running HULFT Ver.6, or a lower version of HULFT for Mainframe than HULFT7 for Mainframe Ver.7.2.0.

Note that even if code conversion is not carried out successfully, no error occurs during transfer.

Points to be noted on automatic switching between sending-side conversion and receiving-side conversion

When a transfer is carried out via a HULFT-HUB Server lower than Ver.3.9, automatic switching between sending-side conversion and receiving-side conversion will not work even if the clients on both the sending and receiving sides are Ver.8.4 or higher.

Make sure that HULFT-HUB Server is Ver.3.9 or higher to enable the automatic switching function between sending-side conversion and receiving-side conversion during a transfer via HULFT-HUB Server.
