Points to note for IBM Simplified Chinese

EBCDIC User Table

When the Code Set for Transfer of the host on the sending side or the host on the receiving side is IBM Simplified Chinese, you cannot use an EBCDIC user table.

Conversion between EBCDIC Codes

When the Code Set for Transfer of both the host on the sending side and the host on the receiving side is 'IBM Simplified Chinese,' HULFT does not carry out Code Conversion between EBCDIC and EBCDIC, regardless of the setting of Conversion between EBCDIC Codes in the System Environment Settings.

Combinations that allow Code Conversion

You can use IBM Simplified Chinese only when the Code Set for Transfer of the remote host is UTF-8 or GB18030.

When you use IBM Simplified Chinese, Simplified Chinese Extended is the only EBCDIC that you can use.

For the combinations that allow Code Conversion when you use IBM Simplified Chinese, refer to Convertible code set combinations.
