Installation
The installation procedure for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux is as follows:
(1) Termination of HULFT
Terminate HULFT.
For the termination method of HULFT, refer to the following:
HULFT8 UNIX/Linux Operation Manual: Startup and termination of the HULFT system
(2) Extraction of the Installation Module for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux
Extract or mount the installer module to any location.
After extraction or mounting, use the setup program "setup" to install HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux.
(3) Installation of HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux
For HULFT Cloud Storage Option Ver.8.5.1 or higher, the contents of the HULFT environment settings file storage directory (HULPATH) are checked during installation.
Therefore, confirm that the environment variable HULPATH is set correctly before you perform installation.

Start the setup program "setup."
Install HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux using interactive mode.
Starting the setup program
Start the setup program.
When the program starts, the plug-in name is displayed.
This program installs the following Cloud Storage Plugin.

Setting the Installation Directory
Specify the installation directory for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux.
For the installation directory for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux, specify the installation directory for HULFT8 for Linux.
The installation directory for HULFT8 for Linux is displayed for Default. Input the installation directory for HULFT to the right of the arrow (->) according to the environment for HULFT.
If you do not enter anything and then press the Enter key, HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux is installed to the directory specified for Default.
Please specify the HULFT installation path. Default: /usr/local/HULFT/bin -> /usr/local/HULFT/bin
Setting the HULFT environment settings file storage directory (HULPATH)
If the HULFT environment settings file storage directory (HULPATH) is not set, specify the HULFT environment settings file storage directory where HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux is to be installed.
"/usr/local/HULFT/etc" is displayed for Default. Input the HULFT environment settings file storage directory to the right of the arrow (->) according to the environment for HULFT.
If you do not enter anything and then press the Enter key, the directory displayed for Default is set to the HULFT environment settings file storage directory (HULPATH).
Please specify the HULFT environment settings file storage directory (HULPATH). Default: /usr/local/HULFT/etc -> /usr/local/HULFT/etc
Confirmation of Update Installation of the files for the plug-in
If the files for the plug-in for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Option(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux already exist, you must confirm whether to perform Update Installation.
The plugin is already installed. Do you want to update the installation? [y/n]
To perform Update Installation, enter "Y" or "y".
To cancel Update Installation, enter "N" or "n".
Backup
If a directory already exists for "Backup Target Directory Name" in Table 5.4 , the existing module is backed up.
Backups are performed separately for each directory.
The names of the backup target directories and the directories after backup are as follows:

Starting the installation
Start the installation of HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux.
Installation started.
Ending the installation
When the installation ends successfully
When the installation ends successfully, the following message is displayed:
Installation completed successfully.
When the installation ends unsuccessfully
When the installation ends unsuccessfully, one of the following messages is displayed:
Installation failed because an error occurred while copying the installation files. Failed to get the working directory for Cloud Storage DB.
If the installation ends with the error above, the environment variables of HULFT (HULPATH) may be set incorrectly.
Confirm whether the environment variables of HULFT (HULPATH) are set correctly.
Installation failed because an error occurred while copying the installation files. <Error messages for updating>
If the error message starts with [CODE = xx], the error occurred in Update Installation.
For details on errors for Update Installation, check Error messages for Update Installation.
Installation failed because an error occurred while copying the installation files. <Message that is output by the OS>
If the installation ends with the error above, the error may have occurred while copying the files for the plug-in.
For details on the error, check Message that is output by the OS.
Take the necessary measures to resolve the error based on Message that is output by the OS.
Procedures after ending the installation
After ending the installation, press the Enter key to end interactive mode.
After you press the Enter key, the installation is complete.
Please press the Enter key.
(4) Confirmation of installation completion for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux
You cannot check the name of the installed plug-in in the Version Information dialog box for the HULFT Management Console and the HULFT Manager Management Console. You can only check the information for HULFT Cloud Storage Option in the Version Information dialog box.
Use the Product Confirmation command (utlhulversion) to check whether the module for HULFT8 Cloud Storage Plugin(on Google Cloud Storage) for Linux is installed.
