Unable to start the Receive program (XRRCV).

  • Has Communications Server been started?

  • Is the definition of the name for advanced application correct?

  • Has the Receive program (XRRCV) already been started?

Unable to carry out the Receive processing.

  • Has the Receive program (XRRCV) been started?

  • Does the Receive file exceed its capacity?

  • Is another job using the Receive file?

  • Does the Receive file already exist with a record length that is different from the value that you registered in the Receive Management Information?

  • Is the data set name that you registered in the Receive Management Information correct?

  • Is the volume serial number of the volume in which HULFT creates a work file during the Multiple Receive correct?

  • Is the Receive file cataloged if you default the volume serial number for the Receive file?

  • Did you enclose the data set name that you registered in the Receive Management Information within literal marks?

  • Is HULFT using the Receive file with the specified File ID for the Receive processing?

  • Is the Send and Receive Log file (HULFT.LOG) closed due to an error that occurred during the execution of the Send and Receive Log File Reorganization program (XRREORG)?

    -> Submit the Send and Receive Log File Open command.

Unable to store data correctly in the Receive file during Multiple Receive.

  • Does the Receive file exceed its capacity?

  • Is another job using the Receive file?

    (Check this point on the console.)

  • Has the Post-receive Job been started?

Unable to output the Receive Log records.

  • Is the Send and Receive Log file (HULFT.LOG) full?

    -> Delete log records and execute the Send and Receive Log File Reorganization program (XRREORG).

  • Is the Send and Receive Log file (HULFT.LOG) closed due to an error that occurred during the execution of the Send and Receive Log File Reorganization program (XRREORG)?

    -> Submit the Send and Receive Log File Open command.

Unable to cancel the Receive processing on tape volumes.

  • If a message about a response request for the tape media (MT) mount (IEF455D) appears on the console, cancel the processing by running the REPLY command.
