Ending the Observe program (XRACCPT)

Submit a command on the console to end the Observe program (XRACCPT).

Ending the Observe program (XRACCPT)

Submit one of the following commands:

F Job name of Observe program,{HALT[,NORMAL]|[HALT,]QUICK|ABEND}

HALT[,NORMAL]

Synchronous end

This command allows you to end the Observe program (XRACCPT) after all services for which requests were issued have ended.

[HALT,]QUICK

Asynchronous end

Specifying this parameter forcibly ends the Observe program (XRACCPT) even if the services for which requests were issued are running.

ABEND

Abend

Specifying this parameter forcibly ends the Observe program (XRACCPT). All processing that is carried out through the Observe program (XRACCPT) ends unsuccessfully.

 

P Job name of Observe program

This command allows you to end the Observe program (XRACCPT) after the all services for which requests were issued have ended.

Note

  • Do not restart Communications Server while HULFT is running.

    Note that if you restart Communications Server while HULFT is running, then you must restart HULFT system.

  • If the program carries out the Send Request with the Synchronous Transfer, be sure to end the program by using the MODIFY command. If you submit the STOP command to end the program when the program is carrying out the Send Request with the Synchronous Transfer, the Observe program (XRACCPT) cannot acknowledge the subsequent requests. You can no longer end the Observe program (XRACCPT).

    If you are no longer able to end the Observe program (XRACCPT), use the Observe Cancelation command (CANCEL) to forcibly end the program.

= Remarks =

You cannot submit the MODIFY command after you submit the STOP command. Thus, you cannot forcibly end the Observe program (XRACCPT), or check the status by using the Observe Task Status Display command (STATUS). Therefore, it is recommended that you use the MODIFY command to end the Observe program (XRACCPT).
