Receive Cancelation command
You can cancel the Receive processing.
Receive Cancelation Command
F Job name of Receive program,CANCEL,F=fileid[,H=hostname][,{FORCE|CLEAN|ABSTP}]
F Job name of Receive program,CANCEL,NO=99999..999[,{FORCE|CLEAN|ABSTP}]
- F=fileid
-
This parameter defines the file ID for the Receive processing that you want to cancel. (Mandatory)
To cancel the receiving-side transferring for instant transfer, specify "_INSTANT_TRANSFER_" for the file ID.
- H=hostname
-
This parameter defines the remote host name for the Receive processing. (Optional)
Defaulting this parameter cancels all the Receive processing for the relevant file ID.
- NO=99999..999
-
This parameter defines the Receive SEQ No. for the Receive processing that you want to cancel. (Mandatory)
- FORCE|CLEAN|ABSTP
-
These parameters define methods for canceling the Receive processing. (Optional)
- FORCE:
-
Forcibly cancel the Receive processing.
- CLEAN:
-
Forcibly cancel the connection-only Receive processing.
For the connection-only Receive processing, when you submit the Receive Status Display command on the console, a question mark (?) appears for the file ID and an IP address appears for the host name.
- ABSTP:
-
Forcibly cancel the Receive task.
When you forcibly cancel the command, the remote host will not be notified of the cancelation.
When you default these parameters, the command notifies the remote host of the cancelation.
-
The command cancels all the Receive processing with the same host name or the same file ID.
-
After the command cancels the Receive processing, the Post-receive Job for the Receive processing does not start.
-
In the following cases, even if the Receive Cancelation request is acknowledged, it may take time until cancelation of the Receive processing is actually carried out:
-
Case where the Transfer Interval (INTERVAL) is set to a large value in the Send Management Information on the host on the sending side
-
Case where HULFT is waiting for data from a remote host
-
Case where the Receive file is being backed up when the Error Handling (ABNORMAL) is 'R' (Restore)
-
-
By defining 'ABSTP' to cancel the Receive processing, you can also cancel the Receive processing for which communication with the remote host is not taking place. However, if you define 'ABSTP,' because the end processing is not carried out between the local host and the host on the sending side, a communication error occurs on the host on the sending side. When auto resending is enabled on the host on the sending side in case of a communication error, resending is automatically carried out on the host on the sending side.
Define 'ABSTP' only to forcibly cancel processing for which communication is not taking place.
To avoid forcibly canceling processing for which communication is not taking place, do not define any parameters that define a method for canceling the Receive processing.
-
By defining 'FORCE' or 'CLEAN' to cancel the Receive processing, you can also cancel the Receive processing for which communication with the remote host is not taking place. However, when you define 'FORCE' or 'CLEAN,' the command may or may not notify the remote host of the cancelation. If the remote host receives notification of the cancelation, HULFT on the remote host cancels the transfer. If the remote host does not receive the notification, the processing ends unsuccessfully on the remote host.
Define 'FORCE' or 'CLEAN' only to forcibly cancel processing for which communication is not taking place.
To avoid forcibly canceling processing for which communication is not taking place, do not define any parameters that define a method for canceling the Receive processing.
-
Once the close processing for the Receive file starts, you cannot cancel the Receive processing.
