System file structure

HULFT files consist of system files and Operation Log files.

Note

Do not access HULFT system files and Operation Log files from multiple operating systems simultaneously. If accessed from multiple operating systems simultaneously, HULFT system files and Operation Log files may be corrupted.

System Files

The following table shows the types of system files:

The operating environment settings of the entire HULFT system are stored.

Send and Receive Management File

HULFT.FILE

The following information is stored:

  • Send Management Information

  • Receive Management Information

  • Job Information

  • Format Information

  • Multi Format Information

Host Information File

HULFT.HOST

The Host Information is stored.

File ID Key File

HULFT.LOG

The log records below are stored. The file ID is used as the key.

  • Send Log records

  • Receive Log records

  • Observe Log records

  • Job Execution Log records

HULFT.LOG.PATH1

The log records below are stored. The host name is used as the key.

Date Key File

HULFT.LOG.PATH2

The log records below are stored. The date is used as the key.

Send Control File

HULFT.QUEUE

Send Queue status information, Sending File status information, and Resend Queue status information are stored.

System Control File

HULFT.SYSCNTL

HULFT uses this file internally.

IP Management File

HULFT.HOSTS.LOCAL

The host name and IP address of remote hosts are stored.

PORT Management File

HULFT.PROFILE.TCPIP

The PORT numbers and program names used by HULFT are stored.

Observe Definition File

HULFT.PARMLIB(HULAPT)

This file defines the behavior of the services handled by the Observe program.

Message Filter File

HULFT.PARMLIB(MSGFILTR)

This file specifies for each message number whether the console messages are output.

The file names shown in Table 3.2 may be changed during HULFT installation.

Operation Log Files

The following table shows the types of Operation Log files:

HULFT switches back and forth between this file and File Access Log file 1 (HULFT.OPLFILE1).

Command Execution Log File 1

HULFT.OPLCMD1

Records of issued requests and command execution are stored.

HULFT switches back and forth between this file and Command Execution Log file 2 (HULFT.OPLCMD2).

Command Execution Log File 2

HULFT.OPLCMD2

Records of issued requests and command execution are stored.

HULFT switches back and forth between this file and Command Execution Log file 1 (HULFT.OPLCMD1).

File Access Log File

When the File Access Log files are switched, content of the original file is stored.
