Procedure specific to the clustering function

Carry out the following procedure if you carry out Product Key Update to change the product grade and use HULFT Clustering function:

Management Information Duplication

When you use the clustering function on HULFT10 for Windows-Server, maintaining the main and sub system management information files guarantee that a failover does not cause corruption of the system management information files.

After the update procedure mentioned in Product Key Update is completed, only the main system management information files exist. Therefore, you must create sub system management information files.

Duplicate the management information by using the command prompt. Move to the folder in which a new version of HULFT is installed and run the Management Information Duplication command.

For the management information files to be duplicated and their names, refer to the following:

Notes

  • If you do not duplicate the management information and a failover occurs during the initial update, the system management information files might be deleted.

  • Before you run the Management Information Duplication command, make sure that Management Information Duplication (adjoinadminfile) in the System Environment Settings file is set to 'Duplicate (1).' If Management Information Duplication (adjoinadminfile) is not set to 'Duplicate (1),' change the setting to 'Duplicate (1)' and then run the Management Information Duplication command.
