Procedure for Silent Installation
Silent Installation is the function that allows you to install the application without displaying the screens of the setup program.
In Silent Installation, you can automate the installation by using the Installation Information file. The Installation Information file is generated by the setup program, and you can edit the file and use it. The following subsections describe each step of the procedure for Silent Installation:
1. Creating an Installation Information file
When you run the setup program in Create Installation Information File mode, the Installation Information file is created after completion of the installation.
2. Editing the Installation Information file
Edit the Installation Information file that is created in step 1. according to requirements from the host on which you are going to install the application using Silent Installation. If you want to execute Silent Installation on multiple hosts, you need to prepare the Installation Information file for each host.
3. Executing Silent Installation
When you run the setup program in Execute Silent Installation mode, the system reads the information required for the installation from the Installation Information file.
