EBCDIC user table registration

When you use a user table to convert single byte codes in a transfer between a Type MF-IBMi host and a host that runs Windows, register an EBCDIC user table.

The procedure for registering the EBCDIC User Table is as follows:

  1. Click Tools > EBCDIC User Table Registration.

    The EBCDIC User Table Registration screen is displayed.

  2. Register the EBCDIC user table from the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen.

To make the registration or the changes that you made effective, you need to restart the HULFT service.

Registration Method

  • When registering for the first time

    By selecting a conversion pattern of the EBCDIC user table from the Template, the selected conversion template code for the EBCDIC code set will be expanded on the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen.

    For the User Table 1 to the User Table 3 of the Template conversion patterns, "00" is stored for all the records by default.

    After entering the code which is to be converted, specify the output destination in the User Table field (User Table 1 to User Table 3) and click Save.

  • When updating the registered information

    When you want to update the information already registered, selecting the User Table 1 to the User Table 3 from the Template fields expands the codes already registered on the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen.

    After entering the code which is to be changed, specify the output destination in the User Table field (User Table 1 to User Table 3) and click Save.
