Management Console Security

Usage permissions for the HULFT Management Console can be set for each user.

The permissions to set are shown below.

  • Log View Permission

  • Log Delete Permission

  • Issue Request Permission

  • Permission to View System Management Information

  • Permission to View and Update System Management Information

  • Permission to View and Delete System Management Information

  • Permission to Access Directory via HULFT Manager

Setup Method

In order to add security while using the HULFT Management Console, do the following:

1. Enable the password function.

Refer to Password Check function for the method of specification.

2. Enable the Management Console Security function.

Specify 'Enabled' for Management Screen Security (admcheck) in the System Environment Settings.

For details, refer to List of System Environment Settings.

3. Register user name, password, and permission information.

It is necessary to set the user name, the password, and the permissions of users who are allowed to connect. Set these from the User Information Registration screen.

Explanation of each field

The explanation of each field is provided below.

 

 

User Name

Specify the user name whose permission is set within 20 bytes of alphanumeric characters.

Password

Specify the password of the above user within 14 bytes of alphanumeric characters.

Log View Permission (on-screen name: View Log)

Specify the log view permission on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant the log view permission

Not Granted:

Do not grant the log view permission

The log view permission of the screens listed below is specified by the above setting.

  • Send Log List

  • Receive Log List

  • Request Status Confirmation

  • Schedule Log List

  • Transfer Status List

  • Resend Queue Status List

  • Today's Schedule

Note

You can use the Schedule Log List screen and the Today's Schedule screen if the HULFT10 Server grade is installed.

Log Delete Permission (on-screen name: Delete Log)

Specify the log delete permission on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant the log delete permission

Not Granted:

Do not grant the log delete permission

The Log Delete Permission of the screens listed below is specified by above setting.

  • Send Log List

  • Receive Log List

  • Request Status Confirmation

  • Schedule Log List

Note

You can use the Schedule Log List screen if the HULFT10 Server grade is installed.

Issue Request Permission (on-screen name: Issue Request)

Specify the issue request permission on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant permission for issuance such as the Send File, the Send Request, and so on

Not Granted:

Do not grant the permission for issuance such as the Send File, the Send Request, and so on

The issue request permission of the screens listed below is specified by the above setting.

Send File:

  • Send Log List

  • Send Management Information List

  • Send File dialog box

Send Request:

  • Receive Log List

  • Receive Management Information List

  • Send Request dialog box

Instant Transfer:

  • Instant Transfer dialog box

Cancel Request:

  • Transfer Status List (Sending or Receiving)

  • Today's Schedule (Schedule)

Resend File / Resend Queue Deletion Request:

  • Resend Queue Status List

  • Resend File dialog box

Resend Request:

  • Resend Request dialog box

Note
  • You can use the Today's Schedule screen if the HULFT10 Server grade is installed.

  • You can cancel transfer on the Transfer Status List screen only when you have all of the following permissions:

    • Log view permission

    • Log Delete Permission

Permission to View System Management Information (on-screen name: View System Management)

Specify the permission to view management information on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant permission to view the system management information

Not Granted:

Do not grant permission to view the system management information

= Remarks =

If you specify 'Not Granted' for Permission to View System Management Information, you should specify 'Not Granted' for Permission to View and Update System Management Information and Permission to View and Delete System Management Information as well.

Permission to View and Update System Management Information (on-screen name: View and Update System Management)

Specify the permission to view and update management information on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant permission to view and update the system management information

Not Granted:

Do not grant permission to view and update the system management information

Permission to View and Delete System Management Information (on-screen name: View and Delete System Management)

Specify the permission to view and delete the records of system management information on the HULFT Management Console.

Granted:

Grant permission to view and delete the system management information

Not Granted:

Do not grant permission to view and delete the system management information

The above permissions, such as the Permission to View System Management Information, the Permission to View and Update System Management Information, and the Permission to View and Delete System Management Information, allow users to view, update, and delete records of the system management information and to view and update the System Environment Settings on the screens described below.

The following screens that are displayed from the System Configuration menu and the system management information that is displayed in the management information lists:

  • Send Management Information List

  • Receive Management Information List

  • Job Information List

  • Host Information List

  • Transfer Group Information List

  • Format Information List

  • Multi Format Information List

Permission to Access Directory via HULFT Manager (on-screen name: Access Directory via HULFT Manager)

Specify the permission to view folders via HULFT Manager. It is a permission to view folders when you select files via the HULFT Manager Management Console.

Granted:

Grant permission to view folders

Not Granted:

Do not grant permission to view folders
