Registering EBCDIC user tables
In the Tool menu, click EBCDIC User Table Registration to open the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen. HULFT must be restarted in order to apply the registration of or any changes to an EBCDIC user table.
Registration of the EBCDIC user table is carried out from the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen.
The method for registering the EBCDIC user table is described below.
Explanation of each field
Template
Select the type of EBCDIC Code Set Conversion Template to use.
There are 16 types of EBCDIC Code Set Conversion Templates.
Code input area
Specify conversion characters. You can input characters from '00' to 'FF.' When no conversion character is specified, '00' is set.
The input area is from top left '0x00,' '0x01,' '0x02' to top right, and the bottom right corresponds to '0xFF.'
User Table
Select the user table to be registered from 'User Table 1' to 'User Table 3.'
Comment
Specify the comment for this code setting within 60 bytes.
Registration Method
When registering for the first time
When you select an EBCDIC user table conversion pattern from Template, the code for the selected EBCDIC code set conversion template is expanded on the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen. In User Table 1 to User Table 3 of the conversion patterns in the Template, '00' is stored for all the records by default. After entering the code which is to be converted, specify a user table (User Table 1 to User Table 3) as the output destination and click Save.
When updating registered information
If you update the already registered information, the registered code will be expanded on the EBCDIC User Table Registration screen when you select a user table (User Table 1 to User Table 3) from the Template field. After entering the code which is to be changed, specify a user table (User Table 1 to User Table 3) as the output destination and click Save.
