Receive ready notifications (automatic startup of the Resend Request command)
If the Send processing is carried out when the Receive process of the host on the receiving side is not running, the processing results in an error and it is placed in the Resend Queue. By executing the Receive Ready Notification command upon starting the Receive process on the host on the receiving side, HULFT can issue the Resend File for the Send files that are placed in the Resend Queue on the host on the sending side. This mechanism allows you to make sure the files are sent.
[Method to set Receive Ready Notification]
To use the Receive Ready Notification function, set the function on the HULFT Management Console or in the System Environment Settings file (hulenv.cnf).
-
Setting on the HULFT Management Console
In the System Environment Settings, set 'Yes' for Receive Ready Notification.
-
Description in the System Environment Settings file
Add the following tag to the System Environment Settings file:
rcvcmd = utlrecv.exe -a
The Resend Request is issued to all hosts that are registered in the Host Information every time the Receive process starts. Here, the request would fail if an error occurs in one host or the Resend Queue file does not exist at the request destination host. (Resending is performed only for hosts that acknowledged the request correctly.)
For details about the Receive Ready Notification command, refer to the following:
HULFT10 for Windows Operation Manual :
If a large number of host names are registered, it may take time to end the command.
