Preparing a version upgrade

Before starting the preparations for a version upgrade, read New Features and Compatibility Guide. Next, prepare for a version upgrade according to the following procedure:

1. Terminate HULFT Manager.

   Be sure to terminate HULFT Manager before you start the version upgrade. You may be unable to perform the upgrade properly if HULFT Manager is running.

   For details on how to terminate HULFT Manager, refer to Termination procedure for HULFT Manager.

2. Back up the HULFT Manager data.

   Be sure to create a backup of the HULFT Manager data before you start the version upgrade. For details on how to create a backup, refer to Backup procedure.

3. Confirm the version of original HULFT Manager.

   Confirm the original version (the version, level, and revision of HULFT Manager in use). The settings for conversion to take over the management information of HULFT Manager vary depending on the original version of HULFT Manager.
