Explanation of Each Field

Each field to be set in the Multi Format Information is explained.

Multi Format ID

The ID to identify the registered multi format

This Multi Format ID is associated with the Multi Format ID of the Send Management Information.

Comment

The comment related to the multi format

Default Format ID

This field specifies the default Format ID when the registered key is inconsistent with the key in the data.

When this is specified, the format of Default Format ID will be set when the key in the data does not match the key registered in the Multi Format Information. If not specified, conversion error will occur when the key in the file does not match with any key registered.

Key Start Position

The key start position to be set per record

The sum of the Key Start Position and the Key Length cannot exceed '19998.'

When the Key Start Position is greater than the length of the Format Information, the Key Value is not correctly applied.

Key Length

The length of the key to be set per record

Key Value

The key to be set in record unit

Specify alphanumeric characters of the same length as that of the Key Length.

Specify 'X (Character)' or 'M (Mixing of Kanji and Characters)' for the Field Type in the area where you set the Key Value.

Format ID

The Format ID used when the keys match

Specify the Format ID that is registered in the Format Information. It is necessary to register the same count as the Key Value. The Format ID is identified by the Key Value and applied to the data.

Points to be Noted When Setting

When the Key Value is not correctly applied

Correct Key Value might not be applied when you place 'P (Signed Internal Decimal)' or 'S (Signed External Decimal)' in the Field Type before the Key Start Position. This is because such setting causes misalignment of the Key Start position.

Starting position of format

When you adopt the Format Information which agrees to the Key Value, HULFT starts applying the information from the first byte in the record, regardless of the Key Start Position.

Handling of Key Value

As for the Format Information that is to be registered in format management information, register the format including the Key Value.

Record Length

When the format lengths in specified the Format Information (including Default Format ID) are different, the Send file record length must be more than the maximum format length.
