System Environment Settings screen (Operation Logs tab)

This screen is displayed when you click the Operation Logs tab on the System Environment Settings screen.

Configure settings for output of the command execution log and file access log.

Command Execution Log

Set whether to output a command execution log with HULFT Manager.

A command execution log is recorded when a request is issued or a command is executed.

The default value is 'Do Not Output.'

The file name for the command execution log is 'CommandOperation.csv.'

File Access Log

Set whether to output file access logs with HULFT Manager.

A file access log contains log records generated when you modify system files by registering, modifying, or deleting management information such as the Send Management Information.

The default value is 'Do Not Output.'

The file name for the file access log is 'FileOperation.csv.'

Storage of Operation Logs Section
Storage Preference

Specify the method of saving the operation logs.

Period:

Set whether or not to limit the period to keep operation logs.

File Size:

Set the file size for the operation logs to be saved.

No Limit:

No limit is set on operation logs.

The default value is 'No Limit.'

Period

Set whether or not to limit the period to keep the operation logs.

This setting cannot be omitted when 'Period' is set for Storage Preference.

Set years, months, or days within a range of '1' to '9999.' '0' cannot be set.

The default values are '10' and 'days.'

Operation logs that exceed the period are deleted.

File Size

Set the maximum file size for an operation log.

This setting cannot be omitted when 'File Size' is set for Storage Preference.

Set a value in units of MB in the range from '1' to '9999.'

The default value is '9999.'

The operation log file that reaches the maximum size is backed up, and a new file is created.

No. of Generations

Set the number of generations of operation logs to be managed.

This setting cannot be omitted when 'File Size' is set for Storage Preference.

Set a value in the range from '2' to '9999.'

The default value is '9999.'

When the number of backup files exceeds the number of generations, the oldest backup file is deleted.

Note
  • If the setting for Storage Preference is changed while the system is running, the following operation occurs:

    • If changed from 'No Limit' to 'Period,' or from 'File Size' to 'Period'

If the Period of log records expires, the corresponding records are deleted when the HULFT Manager main screen is closed.

    • If changed from 'No Limit' to 'File Size,' or from 'Period' to 'File Size'

When the log file size does not exceed the file size you set, a backup file is not created.

When the log file size exceeds the file size you set, a backup file for 'CommandOperation.csv' or 'FileOperation.csv' is created and log records are written to a new 'CommandOperation.csv' or 'FileOperation.csv.'

    • If changed from 'Period' to 'No Limit'

      No processing is carried out.

    • If changed from 'File Size' to 'No Limit'

The log records are output to 'CommandOperation.csv' or 'FileOperation.csv' without the deletion of the backup files.

  • When the ID or the host name includes a double quotation mark (")

When you take some sort of action on the record of the management information of which ID or host name includes a double quotation mark ("), the application outputs the value of the corresponding ID or host name to the Operation Log as it is. This keeps the Operation Log from being handled as CSV properly.

Shown below is an output example of the Command Execution Log, where the user updated the record of the Send Management Information in which Connect ID was set to 'HOST01' and File ID was set to '"AB",' respectively (the underlined is relevant File ID).

    Output example:

    ...,"MANAGEMENT_INFORMATION_REGISTRATION","HULFT_MANAGER","-c HOST01 -i snd -id "AB""

Operation Log User-specified Character

Specify characters to identify the environment that output the Operation Log when more than one HULFT Manager environment exists on a single PC.

Specify in uppercase letters and numbers (0-9) within 8 bytes.

The following characters cannot be used:

  • Full-width characters

  • Double-byte symbols

  • Half-width kana

  • Single-byte spaces

Operation Log User ID Output Format

Set the output format for the user ID (OS) of the output operation log.

Down Level Log-on Name:

Output in the format 'NetBIOS Domain Name\OS User Name.'

User Principal Name (UPN):

Output in the format 'OS User Name@DNS Domain Name.'

The default value is 'Down Level Log-on Name.'

Log Output Path

The name of the folder to which operation log files are output is displayed. The default value is 'opl.'

In order to modify Log Output Path, modify the setting value of Log Output Path (hisFilePath) in the system file (hulman.ini) of HULFT Manager. In order to modify the settings, specify a path relative to the Installation Folder of HULFT Manager.

The hulman.ini file is included in the installation folder of HULFT Manager.
