Code Set for Transfer (cs4trnsfr)

Specify the code set of the system that the destination host uses.

This field is used in the code conversion of files.

This field is displayed when HULFT Manager connects to HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher.

Standard for Japanese (jistype)

Specify Japanese as the standard language for the character code, when Japanese character code is specified for Code Set for Transfer.

This field is displayed when HULFT Manager connects to HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher.

  • 83JIS

JIS Year (jistype)

Specify the JIS Year of the character code set (Shift-JIS) that the system uses.

This field is displayed when HULFT Manager connects to HULFT lower than Ver.8.1.

Tab Code Mode (tabchange)

Specify whether to handle the tab code (0x09) as a space code (0x20) or as a tab code (0x09), when text transfer to a Type MF-IBMi host.

Space:

Handle as a space code

Tab:

Handle as a tab code

Use Custom Character Table (gaijifile)

Specify how the custom character table conversion is processed.

Off:

Convert all the custom character codes to the default code without using the custom character table

On:

Convert custom character codes to relevant codes by referring to the custom character table

Priority:

Convert to relevant codes by referring to the custom character table first

Handling of Unregistered Custom Characters (gaijierr)

Specify the handling of the codes which are listed in HULFT custom character area and are not registered in the Custom Character Table.

Convert to default code

Error:

Return an error

Code Conversion Mode (codechangemode)

Specify how custom character strings is treated.

Mode 0:

In code conversion, this mode treats output codes as fixed length and carries out conversion to custom characters

(except for UTF-8)

Mode 1:

In code conversion, this mode treats output codes as variable length and carries out conversion to custom characters

Pack Zone Conversion (pschg)

Specify the conversion rules of signed internal decimal numbers (P) and signed external decimal numbers (S) for a format transfer or multi format transfer.

  • Mode 0

  • Mode 1

  • Mode B

  • Mode F

  • Mode 9

  • Mode S

  • Mode N

Sign for ASCII (psascii)

Specify the sign part that is used when signed internal decimal numbers (P) and signed external decimal numbers (S) are converted into Type Win-UX host data when you carry out a format transfer or multi format transfer.

This setting is valid only when Pack Zone Conversion is set to 'Mode S.'

Sign for EBCDIC (psebcdic)

X Type Conversion (xmode)

Specify the conversion rules of character type (X) for format transfer or multi format transfer.

Mode 0:

Carry out code conversion in the same manner as Variable-length Characters (M)

Mode 1:

Treat the code as single byte code

Instant Transfer Code Converting Side (insttranscodcnv)

Specify whether HULFT executes the code conversion of send files on the sending-side host or on the receiving-side host during instant transfer.

This field is displayed when HULFT Manager connects to HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher.

Sending Side:

Execute the code conversion on the sending-side host

Receiving Side:

Execute the code conversion on the receiving-side host
