Remote Heartbeat Monitor command

Format of command

utlalivecheck  -h hostname  -p portno  [-w time]  [-m]

Explanation of the parameters

-h hostname

Specify the host name or the IP address of the target host (Mandatory)

Specify the host name as an alphanumeric character string within 68 bytes.

-p portno

Specify the port number that is opened by the monitoring target process (Mandatory)

Specify a value from '1' to '65535.'

-w time

Specify the time-out period (seconds) (Optional)

Specify a value from '10' to '259200.'

If omitted, the value that is specified for Utility Timeout (utlwait) in the System Environment Settings is applied.

If the connection to the relevant process is not established, even if you specify this parameter and the specified time elapses, a time-out does not occur.

-m

Specify output of messages. (Optional)

When you specify this parameter, messages are output.

If omitted, messages are not output.

Even if you omit this parameter, messages for parameter errors are output.
