Module installation and Product Key Update

HULFT supports the following types of installation:

Installation of HULFT program modules

You can use the HULFT setup program to install HULFT program modules.

Install HULFT program modules when you perform any of the following:

For New Installation, you newly install HULFT to configure a new operating environment of HULFT.

For a version upgrade, you perform an installation to update the environment in which HULFT is already installed.

After the installation, you can continue to use the same operational environment.

You can install multiple instances of HULFT on the same host.

If you install multiple instances of HULFT on the same host, perform a New Installation for each instance to operate each HULFT independently.

You can use the HULFT setup program to update only the product information of an instance of HULFT that is already installed.

This update does not install the program modules.

Updating the HULFT product information is called 'Product Key Update.'

Carry out a Product Key Update for the following cases:

Modification of the product information
- Changing a host name
- Switching over from the Trial version to the Product version
- Switching over from the Product version (Fixed Term License) to the Product version
- Changing a product grade
- Adding or deleting HULFT Cipher Option
- Enabling or disabling HULFT Cloud Storage Option
Extension of usage period
- Extending the usage period for the Product version (Fixed Term License)

= Remarks =

When you carry out a Product Key Update of HULFT, start the HULFT setup program from the setup module.
You can carry out a Product Key Update only when the version, the level, and the revision of the installed HULFT are the same as those of HULFT on the setup module.
