Start-up Settings
Use the up arrow key and the down arrow key to move the cursor to 1. Start-up Settings on the System Environment Settings screen and then press the Enter key.
The Start-up Settings screen appears.
On this screen, specify the following fields:
Send Daemon Communication Method
Specify whether to use a normal socket or a UNIX domain socket for communication with the Send daemon. The value is applied when the daemon is started.
If you use a UNIX domain socket as the Send daemon communication method, you cannot monitor the Send daemon port. Therefore, when the installation host is monitored by the HULFT Remote Heartbeat Monitor function, select a normal socket for communication.
Work File Generation Path
Specify the directory in which files that are used temporarily by HULFT are created.
Specify an alphanumeric string within 200 bytes for this field.
Exclude this directory for backup operations.
Further, when receiving multiple large-sized files, allocate this directory to a partition that has enough free space available.
Pid File Generation Path
Specify a directory where to create the Send daemon pid file, which is created upon starting up the Send daemon.
Specify an alphanumeric string within 200 bytes for this field.
When you have installed HULFT in a clustering environment, by default this field refers to the path that is specified in the setup program.
In addition, when you use HULFT in a system in which multiple instances of HULFT operate (for example, for a bidirectional standby configuration in a clustering environment), specify the path for Work File Generation Path, Receive Port No., Observe Port No., and Pid File Generation Path correctly to avoid conflicts with the settings of other HULFT environments.
<<Start-up Settings>> ESC: Cancel TAB: Select Work File Generation Path : /usr/local/HULFT/tmp Send Daemon Communication Method : S (S:U) Command Acknowledge Port No. : 32000 Receive Port No. : 30000 Observe Port No. : 31000 Send Process Multiplex Level : 10 Receive Process Multiplex Level : 0 Pid File Generation Path : /usr/local/HULFT/etc ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This field specifies the path in which temporary files created by HULFT are stored. HULFT may temporarily process sending data and receiving data to create a work file. Make sure that the unused area of this partition is sufficient. Specify this field in an alphanumeric string within 200 bytes.
Screen 4.4 Start-up Settings Screen
