This field specifies the character code type of the system in use.

Standard for Japanese (jistype)

This field specifies the standard for character codes of Japanese language of the system in use.

Tab Code Mode (tabchange)

This field specifies how to handle a tab code, whether to treat the code as a space code (0x20) or a tab code (0x09), in text transfer to the Type MF-IBMi hosts.

The code after conversion complies with the conversion rules of EBCDIC set.

Use Custom Character Table (gaijifile)

This field specifies how to handle custom character table conversion.

0:

Convert all the custom character codes to default codes () without using the custom character table

1:

Convert custom character codes to relevant codes by referring to the custom character table

2:

Convert to relevant codes by referring to the custom character table first

Handling of Unregistered Custom Characters (gaijierr)

This field specifies the handling of the codes which are neither defined as JIS Basic Kanji nor registered in the custom character table.

Convert the code to a default code

Code Conversion Mode (codechangemode)

This field specifies how to handle a string of custom characters.

0:

Mode 0

In Code Conversion of a custom character, convert to an output code of fixed length

(except for UTF-8)

Instant Transfer Code Converting Side (insttranscodcnv)

This field specifies whether Code Conversion is performed on the sending side or the receiving side when the instant transfer is used to send a file.
