Monitoring modes

Specify the monitoring modes for files to be monitored on the File Trigger Information screen or with the Management Information Batch Registration command (utliupdt).

The monitoring modes are shown below:

Monitor Creation

This mode executes the job when a new file is created with the specified file name.

Monitor Deletion

This mode executes the job when a file with the specified file name is deleted.

Monitor Modification

This mode executes the job when a file with the specified file name is modified.

File modification refers to modification of the file's time stamp or the file size.

You can specify a combination of multiple monitoring modes for a single file. For example, if you specify a combination of Monitor Creation and Monitor Deletion, the job that is specified for the Job ID (JOBID) in the File Trigger Information will be executed when the target file is created or deleted.
