Multicasting
The same Send file can be sent to multiple hosts. This can be implemented by registering multiple hosts in the Transfer Group Information. The Post-send Job is activated each time HULFT executes sending to a host. You can register a maximum of 1000 hosts in a transfer group.
The flow of the multicasting is illustrated in Figure 2.10 .
1) Starting up the Send process
The Send daemon starts a Send process for each host that is registered in the Transfer Group Information that is specified in the Send Management Information. Each Send process transfers the Send file.
2) Writing the result to the Send Log file
The Send process writes the results of sending for the corresponding host to the Send Log file (hulsndlog.db).
3) Starting up the Post-send Job
The Send process starts the job that is registered as a Post-send Job.
Multicasting can be used for the Send File. For the Send Request, the file is sent only to the host that issued the Send Request.
