Selection for the Send daemon communication method
You can choose between a normal socket and a UNIX domain socket for the Send daemon communication method.
To allow the Send daemon to be monitored by the Remote Heartbeat Monitoring function of HULFT, the port of the Send daemon (Command Acknowledge Port No.) needs to be open. In this case, use the normal socket.
If you do not want the Send daemon port to be open, use a UNIX domain socket. You can allow communication without opening the Send daemon port.
For details about the Remote Heartbeat Monitoring function, refer to Remote Heartbeat Monitor function.
Method of setting
To select the Send daemon communication method, specify Send Daemon Communication Method (sddrequestmethod) in the System Environment Settings.
For details of the setting of each field, refer to Start-up Settings.
-
When you select a UNIX domain socket, HULFT creates "HULPATH/uxdomsock."
If "HULPATH/uxdomsock" already exists, this folder is deleted when the Send daemon starts. If you do not want to lose files in the folder, back up the files. -
If you use a UNIX domain socket, you cannot use the Remote Heartbeat Monitoring function to monitor the Send daemon.
