Condition to reproduce

This phenomenon occurs when all of the following conditions are met:

  • "I" (IBM Kanji) is specified for Code Set for Transfer (CS4TRNSFR) in the System Environment Settings

  • "R" (Receiving Side) is specified for Code Conversion in the Send Management Information on the sending host

  • One of the following is specified for EBCDIC Set (CHANGETYPE) in the Receive Management Information:

    Japan (Latin) Extended for IBM

    H:

    Japan (Katakana) Extended for IBM

  • "8" (UTF-8) is specified for Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE) of the sending-side host that is registered in the Host Information

  • The send file data contains half-width backslashes
