Entry of HULFT Character Set
Enter the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) that you wish to use for messages and comments in HULFT.
As a default value for HULFT Character Set, the screen displays the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) of the job that is installed, as the default value. If the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) of the job that runs the setup program is 65535, the screen displays the DFTCCSID (Job default CCSID) for HULFT Character Set, as a default value. Adjust the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) so as to fit the characters that you will use for messages and comments in HULFT.

You can specify HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET) only during installation. Note that you cannot change HULFT Character Set on HULFT Management screen.

Only EBCDIC-type CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) can be used.

You cannot specify 65535 for the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier).

For the messages and comments that you will use in HULFT, use the character codes of the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) that you specified on this screen.

For the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier), the jobs that invoke HULFT must use either the value that you specified on this screen or 65535.

One HULFT system can accept only one CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier).

Run the resident jobs of HULFT with 65535 specified for their CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier).

The value that you specify on this screen has nothing to do with the data to transfer.
Press the Enter key to display the Entry of EBCDIC Set Used before Migration screen.

If the EBCDIC Set that HULFT used before migration is not compatible with the CCSID (Coded character set ID) that you specify on this screen, HULFT carries out conversion of management information.
