Preparation for version upgrade

Read New Features and Compatibility Guide of target release, before you begin preparation for the version upgrade of HULFT.

Note the following points before you perform a version upgrade:

• Records that are set in the Host Information as shown below are not migrated:

  • Host Type (HOSTTYPE) is "K" (K)

  • Code Set for Transfer (KCODETYPE) is "KEIS" (K) or "NEC" (N)

  If you perform a version upgrade, these records are deleted from the Host Information. Consider changing the operation before a version upgrade.

• Regarding the code of local host type, you can no longer set "8" (UTF-8) for Code Set for Transfer (CS4TRNSFR), As a result, you also cannot specify "Y" (Add) or "N" (None) for Shiftcode Mode (SHIFTTRANSACT) in the Send Management Information, as was possible with UTF-8. When you perform the version upgrade work, if "Y" (Add) or "N" (None) is specified for Shiftcode Mode (SHIFTTRANSACT) in the Send Management Information, it will be registered as "C" (Cut).
