Confirmation of EBCDIC set

To convert management information, the following values are required:

  • Value of EBCDIC Set before migration

  • Value after migration that you specify for HULFT Character Set of the System Environment Settings

The value of the EBCDIC Set before migration differs depending on the version of HULFT. Table 8.1 Value of EBCDIC Set before migration shows a list of values.

  • HULFT clears the contents of the Send Control file and the Resend Queue file.

  • In migration work, conversion of management information may fail, depending on the value of the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) of a job. Before you begin migration work, be sure to confirm the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier). If the conversion does not work properly, change the CCSID (Coded Character Set Identifier) and check the result again.
