Request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts
You can specify, for each type of service, whether to accept requests when the Observe system receives them from hosts unregistered in the Host Information. This function is called the "request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts”
With the request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts, you can set up an operation in which HULFT only accepts requests for particular types of services and refuse others.
The request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts are applied to the following services:
-
Send Request (SEND)
-
Resend Request (RESEND)
-
Post-receive Job Result Inquiry (HULJOB)
-
Job Execution Result Notification (HULSNDRC)
-
Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB)
To reject requests from unregistered hosts for a particular service, specify "N" for one of the following fields in the System Environment Settings.
-
Allow Send/Resend Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWSNDREQ)
-
Allow Post-Receive Job Result Inquiry from Unregistered Host (ALLOWPOSTRJOBRSLT)
-
Allow Job Result Notification Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWJOBRSLTNTFY)
-
Allow Remote Job Execution Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWRMTJOBEXE)
Refer to System Environment Settings for details about the System Environment Settings.

Figure 2.48 Request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts
In the operation of HULFT system, requests for services on which "N" (No) is specified for the acceptance setting in the System Environment Settings are rejected and treated as an error. In the example shown in the figure, requests are rejected for the Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB) and Post-Receive Job Result Inquiry (HULJOB) services.
The request acceptance settings for unregistered hosts are also applied to service requests issued from hosts on which a versions lower than HULFT Ver.8.4 is installed.
