Request acceptance settings for registered hosts

In acknowledgement of service requests by the Observe system, you can set whether to grant acknowledgement by service types issued by the host registered in the Host Information of HULFT.

This function is collectively called the "request acceptance settings for registered hosts". With the request acceptance settings for registered hosts, you can set up an operation in which HULFT only accepts requests for particular types of services and refuse others.

The request acceptance settings for registered hosts are applied to the following services:

  • Send Request (SEND)

  • Resend Request (RESEND)

  • Post-receive Job Result Inquiry (HULJOB)

  • Job Execution Result Notification (HULSNDRC)

  • Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB)

To reject requests from registered hosts for a particular service, specify "N" (No) for one of the following fields in the Host Information.

  • Allow Send Request/Resend Request (SENDPERMIT)

  • Allow to View Post-Receive Job Result (HULJOBPERMIT)

  • Allow to Notify Job Result (HULSNDRCPERMIT)

  • Allow to Execute Remote Job (HULRJOBPERMIT)

Refer to the following for details about the Host Information:

Figure 2.49 Request acceptance settings for registered hosts

In the operation of HULFT system, requests for services on which "N" (No) is specified for the acceptance setting in the Host Information are rejected and treated as an error. In the example shown in the figure, HULFT refuses the connection from the services of the Remote Job Execution (HULRJOB) and the Post-receive Job Result Inquiry Request (HULJOB).

The request acceptance settings for registered hosts are also applied to service requests issued from hosts on which a versions lower than HULFT Ver.7 is installed.
