This field specifies whether or not to use the Management Console Security function. (Optional)

0 :

Disable the Management Console Security function

1 :

Enable the Management Console Security function

If omitted, "0" is set.

HULFT Manager Password Check (PASSWDCHECK)

This field specifies whether to verify credentials (user and password), when HULFT Manager tries to connect to HULFT. (Optional)

0 :

Disable password check

1 :

Enable password check

If omitted, "0" is set.

When carrying out the Password Check, HULFT verifies the user and password of IBM i operating system. If the incorrect sign-on attempts reached the maximum that is specified by IBM i system value QMAXSIGN, the system takes the action specified by the QMAXSGNACN and you must take recovery steps.

The type of password that is valid in HULFT is shown below.

  • The following characters can be used:

    • Uppercase characters

    • Numerals

    • @

    • #

    • _ (underscore)

If the password for the IBM i operating system does not conform to the above restrictions, you cannot use the HULFT Manager Password Check.

Therefore, you need to change the IBM i password.

If you cannot change the IBM i password, specify "0."

Operation Log Output Option (OPLSELECT)

This field specifies the preference to output the Operation Logs. (Optional)

0 :

Do not output any Operation Logs

1 :

Output only the File Access Log

2 :

Output only the Command Execution Log

3 :

Output both the File Access Log and the Command Execution Log

If omitted, "0" is set.

Operation Log EBCDIC Set (OPLEBCDIC)

This field specifies the EBCDIC set that is used in the Operation Log. (Optional)

A :

Katakana

B :

Lowercase

E :

Japan (Latin) for IBM

F :

Japan (Latin) Extended for IBM

H :

Japan (Katakana) Extended for IBM

If omitted, the value specified for HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET) is set.

  • This is an optional field for backward compatibility. In HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher, use of HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET) is recommended.

  • If you specify both the Operation Log EBCDIC Set (OPLEBCDIC) and HULFT Character Set (HULCHARSET), the specification of the Operation Log EBCDIC Set (OPLEBCDIC) prevails over the latter.

Operation Log Output Destination Library (OPLLIB)

This field specifies the destination library to which the Operation Log is output. (Optional)

Specify a library other than existing QTEMP for this field.

If omitted, no value is set.

Operation Log Acknowledge Port No. (OPLPORT)

This field specifies the port number of the Operation Log Acknowledge job. (Mandatory)

Make sure that the specified port number does not conflict with the number reserved by the operating system as well as the number used by the Receive Acknowledge job, the Observe job, and the Send Acknowledge job.

Operation Log Auto Switch Count (OPLCHANGECOUNT)

This field specifies the maximum number of log records to be accumulated in the Operation Log files. (Optional)

When the number of log records in the Operation Log file exceeds the value specified in this field, the file output till then is renamed and backed up to be switched to a new Operation Log file automatically. The backup is output to the same library as the one specified in the Operation Log Output Destination Library.

If you specify '0' for this field, HULFT does not switch the Operation Log automatically.

If omitted, "0" is set.

Operation Log Switch Generation Count (OPLGENERATIONCOUNT)

This field specifies how many generations of backup files of the Operation Log file should be kept when the Operation Log file is switched. (Optional)

When the number of backup files exceeds this value through automatic or manual operation, the Operation Log file is overwritten sequentially from the oldest file.

The value of this field takes effect if the value of the Operation Log Auto Switch Count (OPLCHANGECOUNT) is not '0.'

Allow Send/Resend Request from Unregistered Host (ALLOWSNDREQ)

Specify whether to accept requests for Send Request (SEND) and Resend Request (RESEND) services from unregistered hosts. (Optional)
