Limitations on Code conversion for Chinese

The Code Conversion for Chinese is a new feature that is available in HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher. To let HULFT carry out code conversion using Chinese code sets, HULFT Ver.8.1 or higher must be installed on both sending host and receiving host.

Limitations on multiple file joining function

• If 10000 or more files are joined into one joined file in HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher, the following limitations apply:

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can append data.

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can split 10000th file or later.

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can display the contents of 10000th file or later.

• The following limitations apply to the joined file in which one of the file attributes retainable in HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher are saved:

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can append data.

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can split files.

  • Only HULFT for Mainframe Ver.8.4.0 or higher can display the contents of files.
