Flow of a file transfer

This section describes the operations and procedures required on the host on the sending side and on the host on the receiving side when files are transferred.

You can start a file transfer either from the host on the sending side or from the host on the receiving side. A separate explanation is provided for each of the following cases:

• A file transfer started from the host on the sending side

• A file transfer started from the host on the receiving side
