You can specify this code set in HULFT for NonStop, but because NonStop does not support it, operation is not guaranteed. |
For Shift-JIS, EUC-JP, and UTF-8, as well as for other encodings, HULFT handles differently between single byte codes and double byte codes when performing the code conversion.
In Code-Set Conversion for Japanese, the targets of single byte code conversion are the "JIS X 0201" characters. This document refers to these characters as "ASCII."
