Host names
HULFT-HUB Server uses host names to identify the local machine and the other machines in an HULFT-HUB network that consists of an HULFT-HUB Manager machine and one or more HULFT-HUB Client machines (referred to hereafter as clients). A host name used by HULFT-HUB Server consists of a maximum of 44 bytes of alphanumeric characters beginning with an alphabetic character.
HULFT-HUB Client refers to HULFT version 7 or later.
Host name that is entered at the site that issues the product key
A host name is necessary to issue a product key from the site. A host name consists of a maximum of 68 digits, not including the domain name. You can obtain the host name by using 'hostname', the OS command for displaying the host name.
Local host name
Make a note of the local host name because it will be needed when HULFT-HUB Server is installed.
We recommend that in HULFT-HUB Server you use the name displayed by the OS's 'hostname' command as the local host name.
Remote host name
HULFT-HUB Server uses host names to manage the machines with which it communicates.
For details about address resolution, see Connecting from HULFT-HUB Server.
