System Environment Settings
This topic explains how to register the environment settings for the client.
You can view and modify this information on HULFT-HUB Manager Management screen.
| [Note] | For versions lower than HULFT-HUB Server Ver.3.9, if the client is HULFT Ver.8.4 or higher and the Forced Strong Key Mode is set to 'Enabled' in the System Environment Settings, connection with the client is not supported. Therefore, it is not possible to view or update the System Environment Settings for that client. |

Explanation of Each Field
The following describes each field in the Startup settings.
(A1) Work File Generation Path
This field specifies the path where files that are created temporarily by HULFT are placed.
HULFT processes data to be sent or received and creates a work file temporarily to contain the data, when necessary. Therefore, you need to prepare sufficient free space on the specified drive.
This field specifies the port number that HULFT uses for internal processing when a request from another host is acknowledged.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, a port number that is used by another application, the port number that is specified for the Receive Port No., the port number that is specified for the Request Acknowledge Port No., or the port number that is specified for the Command Acknowledge Port No.
(A3) Command Acknowledge Port No.
This field specifies the port number HULFT uses to acknowledge the Send processing and the Resend File processing.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, a port number that is used by another application, the port number that is specified for the Receive Port No., the port number that is specified for the Request Acknowledge Port No., or the port number that is specified for the Service Port No.
This field specifies the port number at which the Receive process waits and accepts data sent from another host.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, a port number that is used by another application, the port number that is specified for the Request Acknowledge Port No., the port number that is specified for the Command Acknowledge Port No., or the port number that is specified for the Service Port No.
| [Remarks] | If you want to view and modify this field on the Management screen, you can find it in the Registered Client Information. |
(A5) Request Acknowledge Port No.
This field specifies the port number at which the Request Acknowledge process acknowledges requests from another host.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, a port number that is used by another application, the port number that is specified for the Receive Port No., the port number that is specified for the Command Acknowledge Port No., or the port number that is specified for the Service Port No.
| [Remarks] | If you want to view and modify this field on the Management screen, you can find it in the Registered Client Information. |
This field specifies the port number at which the service process acknowledges requests from another host.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, or a port number that is used by another application.
If you do not open a communication port for the service process, omit the setting value for this field.
This field specifies the port number at which the Scheduler process acknowledges requests from another host.
Ensure that this port number is not the same as a port number that is reserved by the operating system, or a port number that is used by another application.
If you do not open a communication port for the Scheduler process, omit the setting value for this field.
(A8) Send Process Multiplex Level
This field specifies the maximum number of the Send threads that can be running simultaneously within the Send process.
The load on the system and lines grows heavier as the number of hosts that are simultaneously carrying out the Send processing increases. Set a value that is appropriate for the conditions of the system that you are currently using.
(A9) Receive Process Multiplex Level
This field specifies the maximum number of the Receive threads that can be started simultaneously.
When the number of instances of the Receive processing exceeds the value that you set for this field, HULFT does not acknowledge instances of the Receive processing that exceed the value. The load on the system and lines grows heavier as the number of simultaneous instances of the Receive processing increases. Set a value that is appropriate for the conditions of the system that you are currently using.
(A10) Automatic Process Startup
This field specifies whether to start up each process at the same time the service is started.
